Shout Out!

This weekend's Shout Out goes to The Crabtree Tavern! I had been wanting to try it and finally got a chance to do so last night. My friends and I stopped their for some pre-party grub. Initially, I felt like the place was welcoming and had a lively atmosphere. That feeling continued throughout our meal. For appetizers, we tried the pimento cheese dip and the onion rings. The onion rings were good, but pretty standard. The Pimento Cheese Dip was very tasty and I loved the crispy chips that they served with it. For my meal, I got the Grilled Ham and Cheese with Tomato Soup. Comfort food incarnate! :) The sandwich was very good, I loved the bread and it was grilled to perfection. The tomato soup was just okay. It wasn't bad, but I felt like they were trying to get too fancy with it. With tomato soup, it's best to keep it simple.

I had read previous reviews about slow service, but they appear to have fixed this problem. The service was prompt and friendly. Our server's name was Shauna and she was very attentive.

Thanks, Crabtree Tavern! Keep up the good work!
