Shout Outs from the weekend

What an awesome weekend to be in the Triangle. Sure, there was a little rain, but the cool weather felt oooh sooo niiice!

Have you ever been on a food tour? I did so this weekend with Taste Carolina and had an amazing time!  A tour guide takes you around the city and along the way you get to sample foods from some of the area's best restaurants.  Our tour included Scratch Bakery, Toast, Rue Cler, Parker and Otis, Reliable Cheese Company and Piedmont. I highly recommend these tours, particularly if you have out of town guests - what a great way to show off the best of what we have to offer. I can't wait to go on more food tours!

Comfort food ruled this weekend and I was definitely craving some for breakfast this morning! I want to give a shout out to New York Bagel and Deli at the corner of Strickland and Falls of the Neuse.  New Yorkers: If you are craving a bagel RUN to this place. It will make you feel right at home!  It's not quite the same, but it is DAMN close and I thoroughly enjoyed my poppy seed bagel with cream cheese this morning! They also have some awesome sandwiches made with Boar's Head cold cuts, so check them out for lunch! They also have a location in Cary.
