Obviously, Raleigh's First Night is a longstanding tradition, but it's much more than just the annual Acorn Drop. Your $9 (in advance) admission button gets you into a host of activities and performances all night. Get your button at area retailers by the 31st! If you're looking for a slightly more grown-up celebration (read: with booze), the RBC Center is hosting the New Years Eve Extravaganza 2012. There are two ticket levels ($25 and $60 in advance) and lots of entertainment, favors, and Times Square on the Jumbotron!
