Christmas is over, dinner has been eaten, gift receipts have been collected, and Boxing Day is here. This means it's time to start making your New Year's Eve plans! Obviously, Raleigh's First Night is a longstanding tradition, but it's much more than just the annual Acorn Drop. Your $9 (in advance) admission button gets you into a host of activities and performances all night. Get your button at area retailers by the 31st! If you're looking for a slightly more grown-up celebration (read: with booze), the RBC Center is hosting the New Years Eve Extravaganza 2012. There are two ticket levels ($25 and $60 in advance) and lots of entertainment, favors, and Times Square on the Jumbotron! And if you're not sure if these are the events for you, check Raleigh Specials Tonight all week - we'll be listing more parties and NYE celebrations every day!
