Smorgie's Lists

A few weeks ago, I was asked to beta test a site called Smorgie, a website designed to help you remember your favorite restaurants. At first, I thought it was just going to be another Yelp rip-off, but decided to give the site a try.

If I could use one word to describe Smorgie, it would be simplicity. There are no reviews to sift through, just recommendations. Once you create an account, you can add your favorite restaurants and create lists.  If you click on a specific place, you can see how many people added it to a list and even the specific list to which is was added. Check out the Tobacco Road Sports Cafe page for example. It was added to both "The Best of Glenwood South" and the "Best Mac and Cheese" lists.

Here are a few other lists I created:

The Best of Cameron Village
The Best Pizza in Raleigh
The Best Raleigh Burger

Each list has a direct, public link making it easy to share with your friends and family. Smorgie is officially live and will become more and more useful as people sign up, add places and create lists. Create an account to join myself and the rest of the Smorgie community. Feel free to add me as a friend, my username is "raleighspecials". I'm looking forward to seeing your lists! You can also "Like" Smorgie on Facebook  or follow them on Twitter.
