Hopscotch: Not Just For Nighttime

Today is chock-full of events downtown, even if you don't have a Hopscotch bracelet (although it's still not too late to get a Saturday pass). There are a bunch of day parties this afternoon that are open to everyone! First, hit Kings around noon for their hangover party. They'll have some free drinks when the party starts, although I'm not sure how long that'll last. Next door, Capital Club 16 is having a heavy metal karaoke party hosted by Valiant Thorr. I saw them last night at Tir na nOg and they were really fun. The number-one day party that I want to get to is Shopscotch at Rebus Works. There is all kinds of fun stuff going on over there today - art, food trucks, beer, and music (obviously), plus a Minus Sound Research party hosted by Counter Culture Coffee. These events mostly run from noon to 5:00, and full list of day parties is here.

If you decide to skip Hopscotch passes for tonight, there's still more partying for you to do! Cameron Bar & Grill in Cameron Village is hosting the Pack Parking Lot Party starting at 6:00 to celebrate back-to-school in a fun fashion. They'll be taking over their parking lot with music, food, outdoor bars, cornhole, beer pong, and more! No cover, all ages, but you know you gotta be 21 to drink.
