About RST

Raleigh Specials Tonight was founded by Amy Genovesi Howard in June, 2009. She got the idea for the site when she and her co-workers were trying to find places to have a drink and relax after work. No one seemed to know which bars had specials. Amy started keeping a spreadsheet and then the website was born.

Amy recently founded Raleigh Online Media, LLC, a marketing firm specializing in hyper local websites for locals and visitors. Current projects include Durham Specials Tonight and Charlotte Specials Tonight.

Katy Dunne joined the RST team in December, 2010. She loves living in Raleigh and acting as social director for her husband and friends.

Katy loves books, politics, puppies, and most especially theatre and the arts. You'll see her at downtown restaurants and night spots amid First Fridays, local plays, and strolls around her Five Points neighborhood.
