Today is the day that we celebrate our Independence!
You can start out the day with a picnic on the state capitol's lawn from noon to 4. This is a free event which will include military displays, historical displays, musical entertainment and activities for the kids. After this event, check out the State Faigrounds. Food will be available for purchase and there will be free events happening until 9:15, which is when the fireworks will begin. Happy Independence Day, everyone!
