I have to be honest, the Academy Awards are basically my Super Bowl. I live for Oscar night, but I know I'm not alone because there are a bunch of great parties and events going on tonight. If you're feeling fancy, there are still tickets available for Theatre In The Park's fundraiser Oscar Night America 2011, which includes a red carpet complete with paparazzi! For a little more kitsch, dress up for Raleighwood Cinema Grill's 11th Annual Academy Awards Gala, which is free (so get there early) and has contests and prizes. I've gone to this before and it really is fun. If you want something more low-key, check out Deep South Bar's Oscar Party and cast your votes by 8 for the chance to win prize packages. And, no matter what, put on that tux or tiara and have fun in Raleigh tonight!
