SparkCon Downtown

It seems like something good's going on downtown every weekend this time of year, and we're getting some fantastic weather to boot. This weekend is SparkCon, Raleigh's annual "creative explosion," featuring all kinds of neat artwork, music, film, and more! Just walk down Fayetteville Street today to see some amazing temporary art on the pavement, live graffiti painting, skateboard demos, and lots and lots of other fun stuff. Starting at 12:30, the filmSpark tent (at Fayetteville and Davie) is celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Princess Bride, so stop by and do your best Inigo Montoya impression. Later on, head to Busy Bee for BarArt, or catch the aerial demo near Raleigh Times (which, by the way, has opened it's new section, including a beautiful upstairs bar). There is SO much going on - you can see the whole calendar here.
