A few much needed Shout Outs!

Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of having lunch with the intelligent and talented Lisa from I Heart Retail. During our conversation, she mentioned about Lucky B's and it's connection to the Carolina Hurricanes - Bates Battaglia, a former 'Cane is one of the owners. I'm a huge hockey fan and was going to the Canes vs. Caps game that night, so of course I mentioned this fact to my associates. We immediately decided to check out Lucky B's after the game and I am SO glad that we did. The bartenders were friendly, the drinks were cheap (and not watered down), they have Skee Ball, which I LOVE and, in case you can't decide what you want to drink, they have have a "Wheel O' Shots". The crowd was diverse and fun. I definitely recommend checking it out! Lucky B's specials are on the sidebar - tonight enjoy $2 Domestics, $2 Wells, $3 Smirnoff flavored vodkas and $4 Jager Bombs.

Another Shout Out goes to Tap City, which recently opened in North Raleigh on Falls of the Neuse Rd. As the name implies, they have a vast beer selection with 32 beers on tap and 32 beers in bottles. Their menu includes a variety of burgers, sandwiches and salads, but I was most impressed with their beer cheese chowder and their fries. Next time I go there, I think I am just going to request a plate of fries drowned in beer cheese chowder. Mmmmm, healthy! ;)

Did you have a great time while you were out with your friends in Raleigh? If you want to give your favorite bar/restaurant in Raleigh a Shout Out, send your name, the date were there and why it was such a great experience to ahoward@raleighonlinemedia.com.
