I know the phrase "Thursday Night Throwdown" probably makes you think of burly men in brightly colored spandex hitting each other with folding chairs. But actually, it's a java-phile's dream event: a latte art competition between talented triangle baristas! Tonight's throwdown is hosted by Jubala Village Coffee in north Raleigh and sponsored by Counter Culture Coffee. It starts at 7 and is free and open to the public, and $5 to enter if you can make some baller pictures in a latte. If you're not familiar with this art form, check some images.
