Hockey's Back!

Today's big story is the end of the NHL lockout and so the return of hockey to our fair city (and everywhere else)! If you just can't wait for the Hurricanes to play, you're in luck because the Charlotte Checkers (the Canes' AHL affiliate) are playing the Norfolk Admirals at the PNC Arena today. The puck drops at 1:30, doors open at 12:30, and you can buy tickets at the gate. This is the first AHL game played in Raleigh, and with Charlotte's strong season so far, it promises to be a good game. So dust off your hockey fan gear and warm up those vocal chords because it's finally hockey season!
